L’installation d’OpenBSD sur un serveur hébergé pose parfois problème, ce choix n’étant pas proposé dans le menu d’installation. La procédure ci-dessous propose une solution pour ce cas et a été testé sur l’offre DigiOne de Digicube.

Installer une distribution Debian mais en partitionnant le disque et en ne conservant qu’une faible partie pour la distribution Linux.

Installer GRUB

Installer QEMU

Créer une partition OpenBSD (type A6) sur le reste du disque.

Relever dans le dmesg de Linux, le modèle de la carte réseau, Realtek 8168 dans notre cas.

Télécharger une iso d’install d’OpenBSD 5.3 (http://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/5.3/i386/cd53.iso), en version 32 bits; la version 64 bits semble poser problème pour QEMU.

Lancer l’installation d’OpenBSD via QEMU :

qemu -vnc :0 -k fr -hda /dev/sda -cdrom cd53_i386.iso -boot d

l’affichage local se fait sur un viewer VNC (Chicken of the Vnc sous MacOsX)

En fin d’installation d’OpenBSD, créer le le fichier /mnt/etc/hostname.re0 (carte réseau Realtek) :

Insérer en première position dans le fichier /boot/grub/grub.cfg une entrée pour OpenBSD :
